Lockdown the ideas that harm The Society; Jamat- A Class of Blessing or Disguise

Varsha Jandial
Slamming hard against a tree, always pushes us back with a double static motion! Yes,  I am talking about Tableeghi Jamat, the movement with an objective of proselytising or preaching Islam with reference to the concept of Dawah, which they interpret as enjoying good and forbidding evil only.
Established in 1926 by Muhammad Ilyas al-Kandhlawi in Mewat region of India, their teachings are expressed in “Six Principles” :
Kalimah (Declaration of faith), Salah (Prayer), Ilm-o-zikr (Knowledge), Ikraam-e-Muslim (Respect of Muslim), Ikhlas-e-Niyy . Members of Tabligh Jamat are allowed to follow their own fiqh  as long as it does not deviate from Sunni Islam. Defining its objective within the framework of two particular Qur’anic verses which refer to this mission,
“Who is better in speech than one who calls (men) to Allah, works righteousness, and says, “I am of the muslims (those who submit to Allah) “?
— Qur’an, sura (chapter) 41 (Fussilat), ayah (verse) 33
Let there arise out of you a band of people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right, and forbidding what is wrong: They are the ones to attain felicity.
— Qur’an sura (chapter) 3 (Al-i-Imran), ayah (verse) 104″;
Tablighi Jamaat encourages everyone to fulfill the Islamic requirement of Dawah even if the person falls short of strong religious intellect. Tablighi Jamaat also disagrees with the prevailing idea that the highest standards of Islamic scholarship and ethical standards were prerequisites for proselytising, and promote Dawah as a mechanism of self-reform, thus challenging the natural way of living and humanity as well.
Let me throw some light on this Jamat and its people. They believe in supremacy of their religion.
 Tabligh seek a “separation in their daily life from the impious society that surrounded them” i.e. they want to create their own world declaring themselves as pious and the rest of the world as impious. The only objective of Tabligh Jamaat, overtly stated in most sermons , is that Muslims adopt and invite for the Islamic lifestyle, exemplified by Muhammad, in its perfection, thus letting them creating a new world apart from the main stream. This involves a detailed orthopraxy : “followers must dress like the Prophet, sleep as he did on the ground, on one’s right side”;enter bathrooms leading with the left foot, but put pants on leading with the right foot; do not use a fork when eating, instead use your index finger, middle finger and thumb; men shave their upper lips, but let their beards grow; their pants or robes should be above the ankle “because the prophet said letting clothes drag on the ground is a sign of arrogance”.
Muhammad Ilyas put forward the slogan, Urdu: ‫”!اﮮ مسلمانو! مسلمان بنو”‬‎, “O Muslims, become [true] Muslims!”. This expressed the central focus of Tablighi Jamat;their aim to renew Muslims socially by uniting them in embracing the lifestyle of Muhammad.
This is little introduction about Jamat that is in field nowadays. “O Muslims, become true Muslims”; the word ‘true’ itself depicts the root cause of issues that surrounds us in this pandemic disease era. Creating hardcore followers of any religion further instigating the followers that respect the people of your religion only; else everybody is Kafir; this mentality is on one side giving birth to the religion sponsored terrorism and on the other to the hardcore dealers of religion who irrespective of the value of life, act as the sleeper cells in the society. Not to mention these sleeper cells are now developing themselves into suicide bombers under the concept of Dawah.
The world is suffering from devastation already due to this life pandemic disease threat and the role of these Jamat people at this time instead of contributing to revive with healthy outcome, is more horrible.Their get- togethers when the whole nation is moving towards  isolation with an objective to spread this disease needs more than condemning. They didn’t stop there but harassing doctors, spitting on them, hitting them with stones, hiding with a clear objective of spreading the disease exposed their sick mentality of making the world sick. These Jamat people are not only threat to Bharat but they under the concept of Dawah had already contributed in spoiling millions of lives across Pakistan, Kuwait, phillipines, malaysia and many more.
It is really heart wrenching incident that some media persons are taking advantage of this moment and challenging the basic nature of brotherhood of Bharat propagating that India is against Muslims but unfortunately they forget to blink their screen with the fact that it is the country that created Ashfaqulla khan, Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam, and many more alumni. I am not interested in taking the name of some writers who are defaming India at this moment on international platforms due to their self created trauma but what I feel that these people while enjoying their rights must keep in mind their duties also. They need to understand that the poison they are inculcating in society for their unjustified interests would harm the generations.
This Jamat is now playing victim card by donating plasma for the covid-19 research to counterbalance their sins. “Better late than never” is a proverb that could be used for Jamat donors, but what about the fact that more than 30% cases of covid-19 belong to this Jamat; how we look upon the harassment they did to women doctors? Should we forget the things they did to humanity or we should understand the dual standard of theirs?  let’s explore the things and eradicate the evil ideas of the society!
It is nothing but dumbing down the human species in the name of religion and it’s so called “Dogmas”. Only with the growing up of humanity and we becoming adults and taking personal responsibility of our lives, this cycle of carnage will stop.
I urge you all to question everything, including your ideological relations if they are or not dragging you into war and carnage. Be logical and pragmatic else than believing the fable on face value. We all are our own saviours. Let be sensible for ourself and our society.
