Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad’s National Executive Council meeting shall be held from May 25th to May 28th at Pune’s ‘Maharishi Karve Stree Shikshan Sansthan’. Important issues pertaining to the field of education, such as improvement in the condition of universities, implementation of the National Education Policy 2020, transparency in the conduct of various examinations, and issues of contemporary importance to the youth, shall be intensively deliberated upon at the meeting, with ABVP drawing out a broad plan of action for the coming year through extensive dialogue at the NEC meeting.
A total of 467 delegates from 44 prants (Organizational) and Pragyik Vidyarthi Parishad, the friendly student organization of our neighbour Nepal, will participate in the National Executive Council meeting of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. On the evening of May 25, National President of ABVP Dr. Rajsharan Shahi, National General Secretary Yagyavalkya Shukla and National Organizational Secretary Ashish Chauhan will inaugurate the National Executive Council meeting. On May 26, at 6 PM, ‘Public reception program’ will be organized in the gracious presence of General Manoj M. Naravane and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis. ABVP National President Dr. Rajsharan Shahi and ABVP National General Secretary Yagyavalkya Shukla will also be present in this civic reception.
The ABVP’s NEC meeting will bear witness to the participation of delegates from all across the nation. ABVP, through a host of activities and youth participation in them, is not only driving changes in the educational sector but is also trying to create a positive social impact in fields such as the environment, social service, etc. There shall be a meeting of key members of the ABVP’s different dimensions and activities on May 25th, in which the ABVP’s future course of action to ensure youth participation in issues pertaining to environment, social service, school education, sports, etc. shall be charted out.
Yagyawalkya Shukla, National General Secretary, ABVP, said, “All stakeholders must come together to ensure that the changes taking place in the educational sector are in a positive direction. Today, issues such as lack of transparency in the examinations being held in CBT mode, the delay in the formation of the NRF, the fee hike in various educational institutions, and the increasing instances of suicide across campuses and educational institutions are affecting the youth. The ABVP demands that appropriate action be taken to set things right in these matters. Positive deliberation and discussion shall be done on various issues at the ABVP National Executive Council meeting, and ABVP units shall work throughout the year in the positive direction agreed upon at the meeting.”
Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad’s National General Secretary Yagywalkya Shukla addressed a press conference today in Pune in context of the National Executive Council meeting.
