Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) candidates for Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections gathered strong support as they campaigned across various colleges of DU on the last day of campaigning for DUSU elections. The ABVP candidates for DUSU including Rishabh Chaudhary for President, Bhanu Pratap Singh for Vice President, Mitravinda Karanwal for Secretary and Aman Kapasiya for Joint-Secretary connected with thousands of students across university engaging with them on significant students’ issues and highlighting the key achievements of ABVP led DUSU of the previous year.
Throughout the campaign, ABVP’s candidates focused on highlighting their significant achievements from last year including successful running of U-Special Buses, approval and initiation of the Students’ Center, installation of sanitary pad vending machines in nearly every college across Delhi University. They also highlighted ABVP’s Manifesto for this year’s DUSU elections which includes student issues like One Course – One Fees, introducing NCC in every college, active Internal Complaint Committees in every college, infrastructural development, better sports amenities etc.
ABVP Vice-President Candidate for DUSU, Bhanu Pratap Singh, stated, “ABVP stands committed to work for the holistic development of the students’ community. Our Manifesto for DUSU reflects upon our commitment to the betterment of the students in Delhi University. With a strong track record of success, we have stood victorious every time in Delhi University Students’ Union elections and this year will not be any different. We interacted with students throughout our campaigning and have received an encouraging response from the students, with many expressing confidence in ABVP’s leadership and vision for Delhi University.”
ABVP Candidate for Secretary Post, Aman Kapasiya, stated, “ABVP remains committed to addressing the concerns of Delhi University and raising their voice to the DU administration to ensure that Delhi University continues to be a space where students’ voices are heard and respected. This year, like every year, we are requesting students to participate in the election and vote for an organisation like ABVP, working 365 days a year for the benefit of students.”
