ABVP Welcomes Union Budget 2025-26 with major Boost for Education and Health Sectors

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) welcomes the significant allocation of ₹1,28,650 crores for the education sector and the substantial ₹98,000 crore allocation for the health sector in the Union Budget 2025-26. The budget announcements, with an emphasis on the progress of these crucial sectors, will play a decisive role in driving the nation toward holistic and comprehensive development.

To modernize India’s education system while upholding Bharatiya values, the government has introduced several visionary and decisive measures. Notably, 2.54% of the total budget has been allocated to education.

Establishing 50,000 Atal Tinkering Labs in schools within the next five years. Expanding broadband connectivity to all government secondary schools in rural areas through the BharatNet project. Setting up a National Centre of Excellence for Skilling to equip students with industry-ready expertise. Significantly increasing the number of seats in IITs and medical colleges to meet rising demand. Implementing the Bharatiya Bhasha Pustak scheme, which will provide digital versions of Indian language books for school and higher education.

ABVP also appreciates the government’s focus on the health sector, with a budgetary allocation of ₹98,000 crores. Saksham Anganwadi and Poshan 2.0, a program aimed at providing nutritional support to over 8 crore children, 1 crore pregnant women, and lactating mothers. Establishing the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Management to promote research and innovation in food sciences. Setting up Day Care Cancer Centres in all district hospitals to improve accessibility to cancer treatment.

ABVP’s National General Secretary, Dr. Virendra Singh Solanki stated, “Union Budget 2025 reflects the aspirations and goals of 140 crore citizens of Bharat. By allocating ₹1,28,650 crores to the education sector and ₹98,000 crores to the health sector, the government has taken a significant step towards holistic development. This budget is not only progressive but also inclusive, addressing the demographic needs of our nation.”

ABVP firmly believes that these strategic investments in education and health will pave the way for a self-reliant, prosperous and Viksit Bharat.
