Agartala : The Department of Sanskrit, Tripura University, in collaboration with ABVP Central University Work, successfully organized a Two-Day National Workshop on NEP 2020 on 13th and 14th September 2025. The central theme of the workshop was “A Roadmap for Vibrant and Research-Intensive Central Universities”, aiming to align academia with the transformative vision of the National Education Policy 2020.
The grand event was graced by the presence of Hon’ble Governor of Tripura, Indrasena Reddy Nallu, Higher Education Minister of Tripura, Kishore Barman, Vice-Chancellor of Tripura University and ABVP National President, Prof. Raj Sharan Shahi, whose inspiring presence highlighted the significance of the workshop in shaping the future of higher education.
The technical sessions witnessed thought-provoking deliberations by eminent speakers including ABVP National Joint-Organising Secretary Govind Nayak, VC of NEHU Prof. Prabha Shankar Sukla, RSS NE Prachar Pramukh Dr. Sunil Mohanty, Northeast Organising Secretary Kamal Nayan and Tripura State Organising Secretary Tushar Bhowmik . Their insights emphasized the urgent need for quality research, skill development, cultural integration, and nation-centric education in line with NEP 2020.
The workshop drew participation from hundreds of students and youth from across the Northeast zone, reflecting the vibrant energy and aspirations of India’s young minds. Discussions revolved around multidisciplinary learning, promotion of Indian knowledge systems, enhancing research culture, and strengthening central universities as hubs of innovation and nation-building.
This two-day initiative not only served as an academic exchange but also as a movement for educational renaissance, inspiring youth to actively contribute in making Indian universities globally competitive while rooted in the Bharatiya ethos.
The success of this workshop marks another milestone in ABVP’s continuous efforts towards empowering students and shaping a self-reliant, research-driven, and culturally vibrant Bharat.
