New Delhi : The election campaign of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) for the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections is in full swing, drawing unprecedented enthusiasm and support from students across the university. ABVP has fielded Aryan Mann for President, Govind Tanwar for Vice President, Kunal Chaudhary for Secretary, and Deepika Jha for Joint Secretary as its central panel candidates.
On Friday, the panel visited Law Faculty Campus–1, Hindu College, Ramanujan College, Miranda House, Kirori Mal College, Rajdhani College, Shivaji College, Vivekananda College, Lakshmibai College, Aditi Mahavidyalaya, Motilal Nehru College, Ram Lal Anand College, among others. The candidates directly interacted with students, listened to their concerns, and collected valuable suggestions that will shape ABVP’s forthcoming manifesto.
Highlighting ABVP’s track record of student welfare initiatives—including the U-Special Bus Service, One Course–One Fee, and Mission Sahasi (for women’s safety and empowerment)—the panel urged students to vote for ABVP to strengthen their voice in the university.
As per the university’s schedule, DUSU elections will be held on September 18 and results will be declared on September 19. Following Delhi High Court’s guidelines, ABVP is also conducting an eco-friendly campaign, setting an example of responsible student politics.
Presidential candidate Aryan Mann said:
“Students have openly appreciated the issues of U-special bus service, affordable metro passes, development of infrastructure, and increase in sports facilities. Seeing the overwhelming support we are getting from students, it gives us the confidence that in the upcoming student union elections, we will win not only in DUSU but also in all college elections.”
Joint Secretary candidate Deepika Jha said:
“For the holistic development of female students, I will work towards making NCC available in all colleges and ensuring proper arrangements in girls’ common rooms. The immense love and support from students give me confidence that ABVP will achieve a 4–0 victory.”
ABVP Delhi State Secretary Sarthak Sharma stated:
“DUSU elections are not just polls but a grand festival of the university, where every student participates with enthusiasm. Yesterday, we announced our central panel, and today they received massive support during their college visits. We are confident that students will place their trust in ABVP and ensure victory on all four seats.”
