BENGALURU: The two-day Central Executive Committee (CEC) Meeting 2026 of the World Organisation of Students and Youth (WOSY) officially commenced Saturday with a high-profile inaugural ceremony at the Chanakya University campus here.
The international summit brings together 68 distinguished CEC delegates representing 20 countries for two days of strategic dialogue, multilateral collaboration, and youth-led collective action.The opening ceremony served as a collaborative platform, uniting the top leadership of WOSY, representatives from the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the senior administration of Chanakya University to establish the thematic framework for the convention.The inaugural session was graced by a panel of eminent dignitaries, including Dr Nitin Sharma, Chairperson, WOSY; Shubham Goyal, Secretary General, WOSY; Ashish Chouhan, National Organising Secretary, ABVP; S. Balakrishna, Joint Organising Secretary, ABVP; C. H. Nikithitha Reddy, National Convener & International Secretary, WOSY; Sandeep Nayar, Dean, School of Arts and Humanities, Chanakya University and Shri Sushanth T. Joshi, Registrar, Chanakya University.
The proceedings successfully established a forward-looking agenda emphasizing global diversity and youth leadership. In alignment with the civilisational ethos of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’, the speakers underscored the imperative role of the global youth in fostering transnational unity, cross-border cooperation, and sustainable policy advocacy over the course of the two-day summit.
