The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has launched a new initiative to ensure active student participation in the upcoming Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections. ABVP has launched a dedicated website to directly invite suggestions from students for drafting its election manifesto.
Students can visit Dusumanifesto.in to submit their concerns, requirements, and suggestions regarding the development of the university directly to ABVP. Based on this feedback, a student-centric manifesto will be prepared for the upcoming DUSU elections.
ABVP believes that union elections are not merely a contest to win seats, but a powerful platform to convey students’ issues and aspirations to the university administration. Guided by this objective, the organization decided to involve students directly in the manifesto formulation process. ABVP aims to give a voice to every Delhi University student within the manifesto and effectively raise issues concerning student welfare.
Sarthak Sharma, State Secretary of ABVP, said: “ABVP works for the welfare of students by including and working upon the feedbacks received from the students. Their problems and expectations remain our top priority.” He further added, “ABVP is committed to ensuring that the voice of every Delhi University student finds a place in the manifesto and that issues concerning student interests are raised effectively.”
